Nikki Ross

Following retirement from policing after 25 years’ service I took up a role as a charity Chief Executive and I now lead an organisation that provides frontline support for people impacted by the Criminal Justice system. In both of these worlds I have worked every day with extraordinary people who are professional and dedicated to helping others – which is where my own policing career began and that has driven me throughout.

Having performed many different roles in policing I became a chief officer with the portfolio of managing all aspects of frontline policing across three counties, partnerships, change management and most importantly ensuring first class delivery to the public.

I am also a trustee of Women Leaders UK which provides direct support to women in the workplace or seeking to return to it. This takes the form of mentoring or allyship training as well as encouraging women to identify and succeed in leadership roles. I am also an executive board member for Buckinghamshire Rugby Constituent Body and am heavily involved in the Covid vaccination programme where I have vaccinated thousands of people.

I have been involved with P2P since it began. I have provided support to organisations seeking to transform both culture and ways of working and also to people seeking both new jobs and promotion by way of assessing and mentoring. The ongoing work with P2P chimes with my values, allows me to continue ‘making a difference’ to people’s lives and to help them in any way I can to be the best version of themselves that they can be. Since leaving policing I have been committed to continuing to deliver improvements in the public sector, to help those who need it and to continue to practice the public service ethos that drives me.
