Investigations, Standards & Counter-Corruption

Uncover the Truth, Provide Clarity and Enable Action

In the main, organisations operate routinely on a day-to-day basis. There are, however, instances where you may need to dig a little deeper. To take either reactive or proactive action to promote a culture of integrity, ensure compliance, and safeguard your organisation’s long-term success and sustainability.

Public and staff confidence, Legal compliance and ethical considerations are just some of the reasons why you may need a trusted third-party to assist you with understanding your organisation.

Whatever your area of concern, one of our team will be able to discuss with you in complete confidence the various options available to you and provide advice as to how best to progress. We are conscious that some of these concerns can be highly sensitive, so our discretion and integrity are always assured.

We have helped many organisation and individuals already, we can help you.

Investigations

Occasionally, something that necessitates further investigation might happen – to establish the truth, provide some clarity, and enable appropriate action to address the issues.

This might relate to an employee grievance, a policy or procedure matter, an incident or accident, potential criminal activity or some other area of concern.

Whatever the situation, you will want the investigation to establish the sequence of events, uncover accurate and reliable information, and establish a clear understanding of what has happened so causes and responsibilities can be identified and a reoccurrence prevented so the organisation and individuals can take the learning forward.

You will undoubtedly want this done discretely, with integrity and in a fair and just manner, protecting the rights and having the confidence of all those involved.

At P2P, we have a team of highly trained and fully accredited investigators with decades of experience undertaking incredibly high-profile and complex investigations locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

Organisational Security

Public, partner and consumer confidence are vital to success. Having a team that has confidence in their own organisation is vital too. Good organisational and operational security increases the confidence of all and leads to stronger decision-making and outcomes. Poor security leads to business outcomes being undermined and at risk. This could lead to low levels of buy-in and motivation from your team, stakeholders, and clients. Trust is crucial.

At P2P, our team has worked in situations of the highest sensitivity within the UK and abroad to provide confident organisational and operational security. Having delivered protection operations for the highest profile individuals and information globally and some of the biggest events worldwide mean we know how to get it right. First time. On time.

Much of what our people have done and how we have done it remains sensitive information. Suffice it to say, where it has been scrutinised in a variety of fora, including judicial, legal, public, private, parliamentary and business, it has stood up to that scrutiny and maintained and increased confidence.

Counter Corruption

Corruption comes in many forms, from the obvious high-profile cases of doing something for a person’s own gain at the detriment of the employer and the company’s desired outcomes, to low-level, poor standards of behaviour undermining confidence in the organisation. This damages the morale and well-being of your team, too, as well as your productivity.

Often these matters are cultural – “It’s what we do around here” is often stated when individuals are challenged. However, with hugely enhanced scrutiny through personal devices and social media, the impact is greatly amplified and speedily delivered with huge damage to external and internal environments. And often, there is no going back, or the cost of repairing confidence is significant. Whether your drive is from an ethical position, one of corporate social responsibility or compliance, we can help you.

P2P has hundreds of years of experience in countering corruption of all types and can help you combat it before its toxicity takes its enormous toll.

From organisational and cultural reviews, strategic and operational threat assessments, training and development, the P2P team has worked to counter corruption across the UK and internationally to prevent loss, hold people accountable, raise standards, and increase confidence.

Alan Baldwin (P2P) was engaged by the Bermuda Counter-Corruption Committee to conduct a review of the country’s response to countering corruption through its six frontline law enforcement agencies.

Alan and the team created a bespoke programme of review for Bermuda, evidence-based with academic rigour, which highlighted both good practice and areas to learn from. The work was accepted by all agencies involved and the ensuing development plan delivered with P2P’s support.
