Police Executive Leadership Programme

The next opportunity to apply for this programme will be between July and August 2024, giving you plenty of time to prepare with P2P.

This cohort will begin the programme in November 2024

Invest in Yourself to Succeed

The application window has now opened for the College of Policing’s Police Executive Leadership Programme (PELP), which replaces the strategic command course (SCC) from this year onwards.

Candidates wishing to apply for the course must submit their portfolio of evidence, demonstrating their readiness for the next stage of their professional development towards executive leadership.

A copy of the application form and guidance can be found here.

The PELP is a development course for senior law enforcement leaders designed to equip future chief officers to lead policing operations and organisations locally, regionally, and nationally.

It will be delivered in phases over the next 12 months and will include a blended mix of face-to-face, online, experiential learning in role, and work with an executive coach. The course will enable individuals to identify, understand, and improve their personal development areas to support their progression into a chief officer role.
