I am an experienced non-executive director with a commitment to public service, I have over 20 years’ experience across the public sector.
I have a breadth of experience working with senior officials, members of the public, disadvantaged and underrepresented groups, victims of crime, survivors of domestic abuse and their families, board colleagues and peers from different professional backgrounds.
I have held a number of board-level positions; which include being a member of the Dept of Work and Pensions Decision Making Standards Committee with a focus on people with disabilities and carers; independent member for the NHS Commission supporting the recruitment of trust non-executive directors and chairs; independent member of a Police Authority where I chaired the very first Domestic Abuse Scrutiny Committee and board member for a Probation Trust.
I was an Associate with the College of Policing for ten years where I assessed at all levels, high potential schemes to senior level (SPNAC) Assessment Centres. I have assessed Officers for promotion and development with a number of Police forces across the country.
I have strong partnership values through my varied roles in the public sector and I have always championed the importance of a diverse workforce and I am passionate about fair play and good standards of service delivery to the public.
My current portfolio includes, Regulatory tribunal member (Health Sector and Police Appeals), Independent Chair Domestic Homicide Reviews and Independent Associate (Policing).
