I served as a police officer for 35 years and during that time worked in three different and professionally enriching forces: Surrey, City of London, and Metropolitan Police Service.
I worked in the Home Office for three years leading policy work on Stop and Search.
In 2005 I gained my PhD in Criminology at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Since retirement, I have been a visiting lecturer at several Universities and I am a Trustee at several charity Boards, one of which is Nacro.
I want to be part of P2P because policing is about helping people when they are going through times of uncertainty and they need a guide to help them through that uncertainty. This is what P2P does for those aspiring to join or planning to progress in the police service.
