I have over 20 years’ experience working in the public sector including 3 years working as a civilian with West Midlands Police.
I have worked in a wide variety of roles within large councils and the NHS leading regional multi-partner steering groups facilitating change management, developing and implementing strategies and policies that shaped the future of our services particularly for hard to reach groups within the community, including the homeless, BAME groups. I strongly believe in the importance of everyone having a voice and contributing to the multi-cultural society we live in.
I am currently working with the Ministry of Justice, focusing on equality diversity and inclusion within the workforce ensuring that there is a commitment in creating and maintaining a supportive working environment and culture, where contributions are fully recognised and valued by all and staff feel empowered to carry out their duties to the best of their abilities.
Throughout my career, I have seen and professionally experienced the challenges that can be faced when you see the consistent outcome of selection processes and the impact it has on confidence and feeling undervalued for your talents. I formally and informally coach and mentor colleagues to navigate through challenges to improve performance, gain courage and confidence to move on to the next step of their career.
I hold (BSc) in Psychology & Criminology, ILM 7 in Management and Leadership and I am a qualified coach and NLP practitioner. Within my coaching, I combine a range of proven techniques to deliver a programme of transformation and follow a solution-focused approach to encourage and support women in a one to one or group setting to overcome challenges, tap into their potential and give them the tools to move forward with intent towards their goals.
I am passionate and committed to P2P’s values and ethos as it aligns perfectly with my own, mentoring and coaching others to step into their potential and creating a diverse and inclusive police force reflecting the communities they serve.
