With over 25 years of experience as a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and executive coach, I bring both an innovative and practical approach to addressing the challenges of leading in an often chaotic environment. Working with leaders on individual, team, and organisational levels, I support culture and behaviour change, and the development of the individuals and groups that make up the organisation. I focus my work on helping people develop and implement strategies that will not only lead to improved effectiveness but will also increase their satisfaction and that of their teams.
Much of my work involves individual coaching to build capabilities in critical competencies. Coaching strategies are focused on identifying and clearing barriers, unlocking potential and addressing the performance gaps between where people are and where they want to be. I also work with leaders who are in transition, possibly moving to a new role, or their current role may have changed substantially.
Transitional coaching involves supporting individuals in their progression to new positions and roles, and accelerates their effectiveness in the new role. This can include people seeking new opportunities, where I take individuals through a process of learning and discovery in order to create a realistic and personal vision for the next stage in their career.
I also support senior teams who are interested in helping members make full use of the collective resources in accomplishing their work. It can be particularly valuable when teams are going through transitions that challenge their ability to manage change, diversity, resource constraints, new technologies, or new leadership.
I have worked with numerous clients in the private, public and charitable sectors, as well as the police – this includes work with Cheshire Constabulary, the Police College and the Police Federation. I am certified to use a range of psychometrics including NEO, Hogan Development Survey, Wave, OPQ, Myers Briggs, etc.
