As a former Chief Fire Officer, I have personally witnessed the UK Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) turnover huge numbers of staff over the last few years leading to a skills gap, loss of corporate memory and inexperience. It is important services have the right people, in the right place, at the right time with the right skills. That is why we have created Practice to Progress (P2P) FIRE.
P2P’s mission is to deliver current, high-quality recruitment, selection and promotion support and practice at low cost. Designed to help individuals and FRSs to realise potential.
Our Assessors and Experts are recently retired or serving FRS personnel who deal with recruitment, promotion and development week in week out.
To me, one of the most rewarding experiences is working with someone to build their confidence, realise their potential and witness success and progression in their career. That is why I thoroughly enjoy being an assessor with P2P and making a difference to people’s lives and careers.
