I retired in May 2022; having served 30 years as a police officer with West Midlands Police.
Throughout my service I have predominantly worked in uniform across a variety of operational policing roles at all ranks. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience across neighbourhood policing, partnership working, violence reduction, domestic abuse, critical incident management and as a Tactical Firearms Commander.
I was Deputy Head of Force Contact with strategic and operational leadership for over 900 staff who managed all emergency and non-emergency calls, alongside colleagues who managed our command and control incident despatch. My final role was as Superintendent at Dudley NPU leading the strategic and operational response across the Borough.
During my service I have had a long association with Learning & Development, having trained both new recruits and detectives in specialist programmes. I have been a coach and associate both internally within my Force and with the Superintendents Association and College of Policing for a number of years, supporting colleagues with their personal development journeys.
I am delighted to be joining Practice to Progress to continue supporting others in their recruitment and promotion successes to give back to the service I was proud to have been part of for 30 years.
