In my life, I’ve achieved a multitude of things that fill me with pride. Many of these accomplishments are intertwined with my family and friends, as well as the gratification of making those who love me proud.
Nevertheless, one of the most significant and cherished achievements in my life was the thirty years I dedicated to serving my community as a police officer. Upon retiring I was granted the opportunity to embark on a new journey with P2P, where I continue to share my wealth of policing experience and knowledge with people who aspire to join the police and develop their careers.
As a police officer, I encountered a diverse cross-section of society. I met individuals of exceptional kindness, as well as those who were in need of assistance but were hesitant to accept it. In my policing career, I had the privilege of working alongside numerous dedicated professionals, forging strong bonds with colleagues and partners who shared my passion for making a positive impact on people’s lives.
Together, we not only brought about changes but also had the honour of saving lives.
Policing, for me, was not just a job. I go to solve crimes, assist those in need, and acquire specialised training that no other profession could offer.
The acquisition of these skills opened up a new chapter in my life post-policing, allowing me to start an employment mediation and HR investigation business.
Drawing upon my expertise in investigations, interviews, and newly acquired human resources skills, I also found my place within P2P.
Every time I receive an email from a candidate I’ve tutored, informing me of their success in passing a promotion or recruitment board, my excitement is as fresh and profound as ever. These individuals attribute a portion of their accomplishments to the guidance and knowledge we impart at P2P, and this is what continues to inspire and drive me.
Being a part of P2P allows me to continue to make a difference in communities around the world. I’m grateful for the opportunity to pay forward the experiences and wisdom I’ve gathered over the years, helping shape the next generation of police officers and other professionals who are dedicated to safeguarding our communities.
