DE&I is an ethos that recognises the value of diverse voices and emphasises inclusivity and employee well-being as central facets of success.
Organisations quite rightly seek to ensure that whilst everyone is treated as an individual, those from under-represented groups are supported to ensure that their workplace is seen as a place where everyone can thrive and is appealing to those who may wish to join the organisation.
That is where P2P comes in, offering experience in supporting both recruitment and retention initiatives.
Recruitment may be the first step toward a representative organisation, but retention is vital if long-term representation is to be achieved.
A McKinsey survey found 47% of employees are more likely to stay with an organisation that’s inclusive, and 39% of job seekers are more likely to turn down a job opportunity if they perceive a lack of inclusion. LinkedIn takes it even further, finding more than three-quarters of employees and job seekers place importance on diversity when looking for a new role.
Companies need programs and initiatives that actively make their offices more diverse, equitable and inclusive spaces.
But DEI isn’t just for companies, individuals must seek to educate themselves, create a safe and accountable culture, and advocate for and value diversity, equity and inclusions.
P2P is working with one of the UK’s ten largest employers, assisting them to build a workforce representative of the communities they support.
With our help, in the past year, they have seen their under-represented workforce increase by over 7%.
