Beverley Thompson OBE

Associate

I have over 30 years practice and senior leadership experience in the Criminal Justice System. I was previously a member of Thames Valley Police Authority and a non-service associate at the College of Policing for over 20 years. I was the first chair of the Metropolitan Police Service Independent Advisory Group, providing support, advice and scrutiny on addressing racism, discrimination and equality in policing practices.

I actively engaged in advising organisations, both public and private, to pro-actively address equality, diversity and inclusion within the workplace. Currently, I am a member of the Sentencing Council for England and Wales.

From my experience, I found that successful organisations are characterised by motivated, talented and inspiring leaders. This means attracting the right people at the outset, supporting them through recruitment and retaining them with development opportunities to reach their full potential.

I am committed to supporting P2P to provide a personalised, independent assessment of skills to those wishing to join or progress within policing as communities expect and are entitled to be served by a well-trained, diverse and professional service.
